The firm was founded in 1969 and is a subsidiary of CBI Holding SA, which is owned by H de P SA (Holding de Picciotto). Headquartered in London, UBP London offers their global money management and alternative investment expertise to private and institutional clients worldwide via execution, advisory or discretionary accounts. The firm manages UBP European equities, global emerging markets, and Russian and Turkish funds which are all Luxembourg SICAVs. London is also home to some of UBP’s alternative research activities.

BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Ltd. (BIM-UK) is an investment management firm headquartered in London, UK. The firm is a subsidiary of BlackRock Finance Europe Ltd., ultimately owned by BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK) in the US. BIM-UK was founded in 2006 following the merger of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and BlackRock. In 2009, BlackRock merged with Barclays Global Investors, including the iShares exchange traded funds business. The combined firm operates under the BlackRock name and has retained the iShares brand. (FFTW-UK) is the Great Britain based global investment management subsidiary of BNP Paribas Investment Partners (UK) Ltd., ultimately held by BNP Paribas SA (XP: BNP, ADR: BNPQY) in France. Established in London in 1989 to facilitate managing multi-currency and global fixed-income portfolios, the firm provides products to a range of institutional investors including central banks, public institutions, corporations, insurance companies, endowments, foundations and non-profit organizations and sub-advisory relationships.

Fortis Investment Management (UK) Ltd. (FIM-UK) became Fischer Francis Trees & Watts (UK) Ltd. in October 2010, and refocused on fixed income investments. In the course of the integration of Fortis into BNP Paribas, the equity investments previously managed by FIM-UK were taken over by BNP Paribas Investment Partners (UK) Ltd., the dedicated asset management business of BNP Paribas SA (XP: BNP) in France. Established in 2003, FIM-UK is located in London. Their clients include institutions, high-net worth individuals and retail investors. In 2008 the firm absorbed ABN AMRO Asset Management Ltd., following the merger of the asset management activities of Fortis and ABN AMRO worldwide. In 2010 Fortis Investments merged with the existing BNP Paribas Investment Partners Group creating a global investment solutions provider which combines the best that large companies have to offer with the reactivity, specialization and entrepreneurial spirit of investment boutiques.
