He was appointed Senior Deputy Governor for The Bank of Korea in January, 2004, Senior Deputy Governor in May, 2003, Deputy Governor in May, 2000, Director of the Research Department in 1998, Director of the Budget and Management Department in May, 1997, Director of the Support Services and Properties Department in May, 1996 and Director of Public Information Department in May, 1995.
Mr. Lee received a BA degree in Business Administration from the Seoul National University in 1968 and a MA degree in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1988.
