Prior to joining GEF in 2007, Mr. Spassov was an Associate at The Boston Consulting Group’s New York office, where he was involved in a wide-range of cases in the US and Central and Eastern Europe.
Some of his experiences include the completion of a healthcare sector strategic due-diligence in Russia, the development of a market entry strategy in district heating and energy services in Bulgaria, and supporting a bank merger integration in South-Eastern Europe.
Mr. Spassov has previously worked as a summer consultant at Mercer Oliver Wyman, a financial services consulting company, and as a program manager at Microsoft.
Mr. Spassov holds a BA, magna cum laude, in Economics and Computer Science from Yale University.
He speaks German, Russian and Bulgarian.
