For the past two years Matt has developed and co-founded North Street Capital a private equity firm.
During this time, Matt led North Street Capital into the SBIC licensing process and in addition has been primarily responsible for creating firm investment strategy, building investment models, budgets, projections, and investment processes.
During his time at North Street, Matt played an instrumental role in the successful merger between two media companies
Prior to founding North Street Capital, Matt was a Vice President at Davenport Capital Ventures where he oversaw the due diligence and detailed analysis on numerous investments in various industries.
In addition, Matt sourced potential deals and monitored one-third of the portfolio.
While at Davenport Capital Ventures, Matt served as a Director or observer for 5 portfolio companies.
Before joining Davenport Capital Ventures, Matt co-managed a $300M alternative asset portfolio at Keyport Life Insurance Company.
He performed the sourcing, due diligence and management of all alternative strategy investments including investments in private companies, venture capital and buyout funds, distressed real estate and debt funds, hedge funds and structured financial products
Matt holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College.
Since 1998, Matt has held a CFA charter, and has been an active member of the Association of Investment Management and Research and the Boston Society of Analysts.
