Matt R. Allen

Matt Allen has extensive experience in the corporate finance arena including deal strategy, negotiation and conclusion.
He qualified and trained at Ernst & Young’s North West office, qualifying as an ACA in 2000.
Subsequently he moved into Lead Advisory within Ernst & Young’s North West Corporate Finance team where he spent 18 months, completing a number of MBOs, MBIs, acquisitions and disposals, and gaining substantial experience in corporate finance and private equity.
He left EY in 2002 and spent over a year as Group Financial Accountant at Parkman Group plc (now Mouchel Parkman), which he joined shortly after their flotation.
He was involved alongside the FD in a number of acquisitions and was responsible for the production of the Group’s stock market reporting.
He joined AFM in 2003 as investment manager and was promoted to the investment director position in 2005.
Matt Allen has worked on a number of large transactions including leading the complex £4m+ acquisition of the Lattimer Group, multimillion pound MBO of Charles Evans Shopfitters and a significant investment into an aerospace supply chain management business.
