The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) is a non-profit organization that aims to eradicate poverty and combat social injustice through various programs and initiatives. The SCLC is based in Atlanta, GA and has local chapters across the United States. The SCLC advocates for fair wages, voting rights, and justice for girls, among other causes. The organization also provides Kingian nonviolence training to awaken and strengthen the moral conscience of the country. The organization was founded in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and is currently led by Dr. Charles Steele Jr.
