Dunn is Operating Executive at Gotham Private Equity Partners LP.
He was previously Co-Chair of the global energy and power practice of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and prior to that a Managing Director in the Energy Group of the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Dunn started his career at Winthrop, Stimson Putnam & Roberts where he was an associate, Partner and member of the Management Committee.
He has represented private equity firms in the acquisition of energy companies, and hedge funds as activist shareholders in energy and communications companies.
He also served on the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association, and was a member of its Finance Committee.
He previously was the Chair of the ABA’s Section of Public Utility, Communication and Transportation Law and the Chair of the International Bar Association’s Energy Committee.
He has retired from Milbank, and is now engaged in several consulting assignments for companies in the energy sector and serves on the Boards of the Site Preservation Initiative of the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at UCLA, and the Site Preservation Task Force of the Archaeological Institute of America.
He is also Chairman of the Vanderbilt University Law School’s National Council.
Mr. Dunn earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law and his B.S in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan.
