Mr van Engelen is the Director of Rabo Ventures, a captive VC that focuses on cleantech.
In addition to Rabo Ventures, he is also responsible for other Rabobank-owned early stage investments in companies such as HatchTech, Organ Assist, Meatless and Bfactory.
Mr van Engelen has been working in private equity/venture capital sector since 1996.
He joined the Rabo Private Equity team in 2002, where he was involved in the recapitalisation of Royal Schouten Group.
Previously he worked at NIB Capital Private Equity for 5 years as a member of the 'buy-out'- and the 'technology'teams.
In 2006 he held an interim position with Rabobank's Global Financial market division, where he was involved in the tender and subsequent issuance of KPN Telecom bonds.
He has a background in Economics and is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam.
