MEDA Investments, Inc. is a private equity firm located in Waterloo, Ontario with additional offices in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The firm is a subsidiary of the Mennonite Economic Development Associates, an association that invests in the lives of families living in poverty around the world. MEDA Investments is a member of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), Canada's Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA), the International Association of Microfinance Investors (IAMFI) and the Social Investment Organization (SIO). MEDA Investments is a socially responsible international development investment organization. Their activities include microfinance and various other small and medium sized investment sectors that benefit poor communities. The firm provides access to private capital from developed countries and channels it to effective and sustainable business solutions to end poverty in developing countries. Investments are made through the Sarona Risk Capital Fund, Microvest or the Sarona Frontier Markets Fund. MEDA Investments also intermediates direct investments or private placements for investors on a project basis.
