EMSA Capital GmbH (EMSA Capital) formerly known as CRG Capital, is the Austrian private equity subsidiary of the US-based turnaround and restructuring specialist CRG Partners Group LLC. Formerly known as CRG Capital, the firm was established in 1992 as The Recovery Group and is based in Vienna with a presence in Prague, Warsaw and Budapest. EMSA Capital, which stands for Emerging Markets Special Assets, focuses on investing and managing assets in special situations, aiming to provide superior returns by acquiring, investing and actively managing distressed and underperforming equity and debt instruments in Central and Eastern Europe.
