Mr. Weidman joined Rydex in 1997 as the portfolio manager of Rydex Variable Trust Ursa Fund and, in 1999, he took on the additional responsibility of managing the Rydex Variable Trust Nova Fund.
Currently, he helps to manage the Rydex Nova, Ursa, Titan, Tempest, and Variable Titan Funds.
He is also one of the firm's most experienced derivatives traders.
Before joining Rydex, Mr. Weidman served as a financial advisor to small business and individual clients at American Express Financial Advisors.
In addition, he was an options specialist on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange for nearly 20 years.
Mr. Weidman earned his MBA from the University of Denver and his bachelor's degree in history from Colorado State University.
