Jim Hunter

Mr. Jim Hunter is the vice president of design engineering for Klipsch Audio Technologies.
He is responsible for the design engineering of all Klipsch market segments.
As one of Klipsch's most long-standing employees, he was hired by company founder Paul W.
Klipsch in 1978 as a transducer engineer.
From there, he worked as a design engineer, production engineer, engineering manager and director of design engineering before being appointed to his current position.
He and the late Paul Klipsch co-authored U.S.
Patent #4,387,786, which is an anechoic chamber or “echo free room” featuring a multi-functional revolving door.
This unique design is used daily at the Klipsch engineering and technology center in Indianapolis.
He has also been a key contributor to more than 130 Klipsch-branded speakers sold in specialty audio stores around the world.
As the self-proclaimed collector of odd Klipsch facts and artifacts, he is also the curator of the Klipsch Museum in Hope, Ark., the town where Klipsch was originally founded and the location of company-owned manufacturing and distribution facilities.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from West Virginia Institute of Technology (now West Virginia University) in Montgomery, W.
VA.
He has been a member of the Audio Engineering Society since 1979 and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers since 1974.
