Profile

Mr. Coane has years of experience building and growing early-stage technology companies.
Mr. Coane initially joined Telebase Systems, Inc., which later became N2K, at its start-up stage as President and CEO in 1987.
After building Telebase into a successful online information services company and appreciating the company's need to diversify, Mr. Coane lead Telebase's entry into the music entertainment business, founding and launching Music Boulevard.
Under Mr. Coane's leadership, N2K completed an IPO in 1997 and later merged with CDNow, a BFTP funded company which was later purchased by Bertelsmann.
Mr. Coane is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University with an A.B.
in economics and business administration.
