Profile

Mr. Coburn joined Gleacher & Co. Securities on its June 2010 formation, the merger that took place between Broadpoint.Amtech Equity Capital Markets and Broadpoint.Gleacher Securities.
Before that, he was with the Citigroup, Global Capital Markets, and Institutional Investor Group.
Prior to Citigroup, he was Head of Equity Capital Markets at PaineWebber, where he was responsible for the solicitation and execution of the firm equity underwritings, amounting to $10 billion in total business, including approximately $1 billion in lead managed transactions.
He was also a member of the firms operating committee and was Co-Head of its equity commitment committee.
Previous his work at PaineWebber, he spent more than 10 years at Smith Barney, serving as a Managing Director within the firm Equity Capital Markets division, where he managed the institutional executions of over 100 lead managed underwritings in multiple industries.
He has served as Chairman of the Securities Industry Association Syndicate Committee and was previously a board member of the Investment Association.
Mr. Coburn holds an MBA from Columbia University and an AB from Brown University.
