The German airspace is one of the busiest in the world with more than three million flights a year. In the time it takes customer to read this paragraph, another aircraft will have already taken off. Every day there are approximately 9,000 aircraft movements in the skies over Germany. And all of these aircraft movements are safely handled by one organization: DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH. DFS is entrusted with controlling air traffic in Germany. Its air traffic controllers never let aircraft out of their sight in German airspace not even for a second. They ensure that there is always enough distance between the aircraft.
