The firm was founded in 2007 as Legg Mason Private Portfolio Group LLC and changed their name to Franklin Templeton Private Portfolio Group LLC in 2022. They are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc. (NYSE: LM). FTPPG, together with their subadvisors, provides investment advisory services for a wide range of clients in sponsor firm investment programs such as individuals, pension and profit-sharing plans, endowments, foundations, unions and state and local governmental entities. The firm also manages wrap fee programs.

ClearBridge Investments LLC is a SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in New York City. The firm is a subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc., ultimately held by Franklin Resources, Inc. (NYSE: BEN). They were founded in 2005 as ClearBridge Advisors, which operated through Citigroup Asset Management NA, and was acquired by Legg Mason that year. They changed their name to ClearBridge Investments LLC in 2012. ClearBridge Investments provides discretionary investment management services for both institutional and retail clients. The firm also acts as adviser or sub-adviser to the ClearBridge Funds which are part of the Legg Mason family of mutual funds.
