Prior to co-founding Kuehl Shepherd Kozlowski & Associates, Inc., Mr. Kuehl served on two senior technical committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that were charged with the responsibility of establishing standards of performance and reporting for accounting reviews and compilations as well as performing financial planning services.
He was a founding member of the AICPA’s financial planning division.
He was appointed by Governor John N.
Dalton to the State Board of Accountancy where he served as its Vice Chairman and Chairman of Enforcement.
He is a nationally known speaker and author of books and articles on financial planning topics and has served on National editorial boards.
Mr. Kuehl is a native of Richmond and received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Richmond.
He is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Certified Public Accountant, received his designation as a Certified Financial Planner from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and has been designated as a Personal Financial Specialist by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
