George Li

CMHJ Partners Ltd. (CMHJ Partners) is an independent venture capital firm which was founded by George Li and Darren Ho in 2007 and has built a network of local entrepreneurs, incubators, science and technology associations, universities, government agencies and venture capital firms. Based in Shanghai, the firm was previously a subsidiary of China Merchants Group Ltd. In addition to the Shanghai office, CMHJ Partners has a presence in Shenzhen. They manage the CMHJ Partners funds, backed by investors including the China Merchants Group. In addition, they leverage their relationships with central and local governments to facilitate exit and partnership strategies within China.

China Merchants & Fortune Assets Management Ltd. (CMFAM) was a venture capital fund management firm based in Hong Kong. The firm was set up jointly by China Merchants Technology Holdings, affiliated with the Hong Kong-headquartered China Merchants Group ultimately controlled by the government of China, and Fortune Venture Investment Group which is headquartered in Taiwan. CMFAM was the investment manager of the CMF Technology Fund I, registered in the Cayman Islands. Since 2008 the firm is primarily involved in disinvestments. Their successor is CMHJ Partners, investment manager of CMHJ Technology Fund II LP.
