Ferdinando Gelosa

FA Capital SPA (FA Capital) is a Milan-based private equity firm established in 2008 by former partners of ABN AMRO Capital SpA, the Italian private equity team of the former Netherland-based ABN AMRO Capital. The northern European buyout teams (Dutch, Nordic and UK) were regrouped under AAC Capital Partners in 2007. FA Capital is a majority-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS). FA stands for the initials of the founding partners Ferdinando Gelosa and Antonio Corbani, who hold a small interest. The firm invests on behalf of Goldman Sachs and manages a portfolio of private equity investment, essentially taken over from ABN AMRO's Italian holdings.

ABN AMRO Capital SpA originated as the Italian private equity team of the former Netherland-based ABN AMRO Capital. The northern European teams were regrouped under AAC Capital Partners in 2007. ABN AMRO Capital SpA was based in Milan. They managed a portfolio of private equity investment in Italy and provided investment advisory services to ABN AMRO Ventures BV. In 2009 the company became inactive and the partners moved on to FA Capital SGR, which they established with support from Goldman Sachs
