F. Ray Nuñez

Mr. Nuñez joined American River Ventures in 2007.
He brings to ARV over 20 years of experience working with both early-stage venture-backed companies in Silicon Valley and high technology business units with over $500 million per year in annual revenue.
Prior to joining American River Ventures, he was the Director of Finance at McDonough Holland & Allen PC, having gone there after a notable sixteen year career at Hewlett-Packard.
At HP, he worked in a variety of senior finance management positions as well as a product marketing manager for the HP OpenView services software business.
Prior to HP, he worked four years as a CPA for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in San Jose, CA.
Mr. Nuñez utilizes his extensive operational and strategic financial skills to ensure that entrepreneurs start their businesses with a sound financial plan.
He also works closely with the Managing Directors at American River on all facets of the investment process.
He serves on the Finance Committee for the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO), as a Founding Board Member and Treasurer for the Sacramento region’s Financial Executives International (FEI) chapter, and as a Board member with Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California.
Mr. Nuñez holds a B.S.C.
in Accounting from Santa Clara University and an M.B.A.
in Corporate Finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
