IDG Ventures Korea (IDGVK) is the Korean venture capital arm of US-based International Data Group, Inc., the world's largest IT media company. IDGVK was established in 2007 to manage a venture capital fund focused on growing companies whose innovative products and services can succeed in both the Korean and the global market. The firm's technological specialists, with backgrounds in business development/management, financial advisory services, corporate finance consulting and fund management, work as one team to help investee companies create their market strategy. In addition to IDGVK in Seoul, the IDG Ventures network is comprised of partnerships in Boston, San Francisco, India and multiple locations throughout China and Vietnam. Each partnership invests on behalf of their limited partners, including International Data Group, and comprises the IDG platform, a combination of global publishing, market research and conference/exhibition resources to help investee companies understand their markets.
