Profile

Mr. Habermann joined Fidelity in 1968 as a research analyst.
Since then, he has held several positions, including assistant portfolio manager and portfolio manager of Fidelity Magellan Fund from 1970 to 1972 and 1972 to 1977, respectively, portfolio manager of Fidelity Trend Fund from 1977 through 1981, director of research for FMR Co. from 1982 to 1989, and director of international research from 1989 to 1991.
In 1991, Mr. Habermann became chief investment officer for Fidelity International Limited (FIL) and a member of FIL’s executive committee.
From 1993 to 1996, he served as division head for international equities and director of international research.
In 1996, he became joint chief investment strategist for Portfolio Advisory Services (PAS) - a position he held through April 1997.
Mr. Habermann was appointed senior vice-president of FMR Co. in 1993 and lead portfolio manager and vice-president for Fidelity’s Asset Manager Funds in 1996.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Habermann worked as a summer intern for Chemical Bank.
He also served as a lieutenant in the U.S.
Navy for four years.
Mr. Habermann received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and an M.B.A.
from Harvard Business School.
