Dr. Dawud Ansari is a Research Associate at The German Institute for Economic Research.
He is in the group for international resource markets within the Department Energy, Transportation, Environment.
He is the director of the NGO "Energy Access and Development Program" (EADP).
He is an independent consultant and has also more than five years of experience in university teaching (from prep year to PhD programs).
As part of applied research projects for national and international bodies, he examines interdisciplinary issues related to energy resources, sustainable development, and the Middle East.
This includes, in particular, analyses of current market developments, long-term trends in energy systems as well as political structures and technological progress.
Dawud's research uses operations research as well as game theory, simulations, econometrics, case studies, and structured analytic techniques.
Prior to joining DIW Berlin, he had worked for prominent Berlin Social Science Center (WZB Berlin) on applied game theory and economics of the Middle East.
He holds a PhD from HU Berlin after previously studying at TU Berlin (best of his year), HU Berlin, and the Johns Hopkins University.
