He joined Koch Industries, Inc. in 1978 and held positions in controlling and treasury and as president of their international group and capital services group.
Following graduation from California State Polytechnic University with a degree in finance and accounting, he began his career in a succession of finance positions at Cessna Aircraft Company and Rockwell International.
