Dr. Brown is Co-Medical Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Fuqua Heart Center of Piedmont Hospital, a private, not-for-profit acute-care tertiary facility of 500 beds, 3,000 employees and a medical staff of more than 800 board-certified, experienced physicians.
He is also a partner in Cardiology of Georgia, P.C., one of the largest private practice groups in the state of Georgia.
Dr. Brown is also the co-founder of GMP Companies, Inc. which acquired, developed and commercialized innovative pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device technologies.
He is currently on the Board of Directors of LyfeSync, which has commercialized wireless monitoring systems.
Dr. Brown currently serves on the medical advisory boards of two of the four largest interventional cardiology product companies in the nation, and is active in device, pharmacologic and biologics research.
Dr. Brown’s professional affiliations include the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American Heart Association, and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Brown received his MD from Louisiana State University in 1984 and completed an internship, residency, and two fellowships at Emory University where he also was an Assistant Professor.
