Brian Wachowicz

Brian is a Principal with Franklin Templeton Private Equity (FTPE).
Brian is responsible for business development, investment research, and due diligence and has over twenty years of experience in alternative investments and financial services.
Prior to FTPE, Brian served as a Vice President in Franklin Templeton’s Alternative Investment Strategies group where he was responsible for overseeing the acquisitions of Darby Overseas Investors (emerging market private equity and credit), K2 (hedge fund of funds), and Pelagos (commodities and managed futures).
In addition, Brian worked on various strategic initiatives for Franklin’s Real Asset platform consisting of both private and publicly listed real estate strategies.
During his tenure at Franklin, Brian served on numerous strategic, capital allocation, and technology steering committees in both the alternative and institutional divisions.
Prior to Brian’s alternatives roles, he served as a Director in Franklin’s Institutional Distribution and Corporate Development and Planning groups.
Previously, Brian worked as an Associate at Clarity Partners, a private equity firm specializing in early-stage media and telecom investments.
Brian began his career as an M&A analyst at Salomon Brothers.
Brian holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UCLA.
