The firm was founded in 1992 as PT Danareksa Investment Management (DIM) and changed their name to PT BRI Manajemen Investasi in July 2023. They are a subsidiary of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and PT Danareksa (Persero), with ownership shares of 65% and 35% respectively.
