Mr. Basola received a B.S.
from St. Louis University (1962) with a major in Mathematics and minors in Philosophy and Education.
Subsequently, he also did graduate work there in law and business.
Mr. Basola spent more than thirty years on Wall Street primarily as an institutional equities salesman.
In that capacity he had responsibility for providing research sales and services to major Midwest institutions.
For eight years, he served as Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales for Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette, one of the Street's most respected investment research firms.
Prior to DLJ, he served as a First Vice President for Paine Webber, Inc. Mr. Basola joined the Hartline team in June 2001 wearing a portfolio management hat.
Having marketed the research ideas of many of the Street's top analysts to demanding institutional clients, he possesses the skills to discern key elements of a successful stock recommendation and its appropriateness in a portfolio relative to specific investment objectives.
His vast experience in relationship building in the investment world provides valuable insights to benefit Hartline clients.
Mr. Basola works primarily from Hartline's North Office located in Kenilworth, IL.
Particularly important is his ability to make seemingly complex financial matters understandable to novice and professional alike.
Mr. Basola has been a long time member of the Finance Committee of St. Joseph's Church in Wilmette, Illinois.
