XL Group's Bermuda Insurance Operations today announced the appointment of Rebecca Dupré as Senior Vice President, Underwriting Manager, Excess Casualty.

Ms. Dupré, who has 25 years of Excess Casualty underwriting and operations experience, reports to Chief Excess Casualty Underwriter Carla Greaves. Her responsibilities include overseeing the management and development of XL Group's Bermuda insurance general liability portfolio while strengthening relationships with brokers, existing and potential clients.

Ms. Dupré's career has entailed progressively senior roles at several insurance companies, including Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in Hartford, Connecticut, TIG Insurance Company and Reliance National Insurance Company in New York. Prior to joining XL, she was Senior Vice President, Casualty Underwriting at Chartis Cat Excess Liability International Limited, Bermuda (formerly AIG Starr Excess).

Commenting on Ms. Dupré's appointment, Ms. Greaves said: "We are pleased to have Rebecca join XL. Her wealth of industry experience, well-established relationships with clients and brokers, and her strong operations and process management skills, will enhance the Excess Casualty team and allows us to provide greater value to the Bermuda market."

Ms. Dupré holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans in Louisiana.
