The Prague-based branch of Slovakia's largest corporate bank VUB, part of Intesa Sanpaolo International Subsidiary Banks Division, has successfully underwritten a promissory note issued by Central Europe's leading real estate group CPI Property Group for a volume of €50 million with a 6-year maturity.

"We confirm our strategic commitment to the market both at local and European Level", stated Giuseppe Ferraro, Head of Corporate and SME Department, ISBD at Intesa Sanpaolo. "This approach combined with the group's capacity in terms of deal structuring and distribution, thanks to the synergies with IMI-CIB Division, allows us to stand out and serve internationally active primary clients such as CPI Property Group."

Through this transaction provided as general corporate financing, VUB Prague branch supports CPI Property Group's recent real estate portfolio growth and consolidation of its market-leading position in the Central European region.

"We are proud that VUB Prague is experiencing increasing success in the corporate market in the Czech Republic. But I also see the fact that we have more and more great business partners, such as CPI Property Group, as a success," said Andrea Fiori, Director of VUB Prague.

"The financing provided by VUB is another confirmation of our successful recent growth strategy. We are delighted to have VUB as a new banking partner with its long-standing expertise in our core markets. We look forward to our future cooperation," added David Greenbaum, CFO of CPI Property Group.

CPIPG owns a property portfolio valued at over €18 billion, focused on the Czech Republic, Berlin, Poland and the CEE region. More than half of the portfolio consists of offices in key central European capital cities of Berlin, Prague, and Warsaw where leading positions are held.
