In 2012, the power stations operated by E.ON Russia increased power generation by 2.8% over 2011, reaching the level of 64.202 billion kWh. The volume of electricity sold in the wholesale market in 2012 grew by 2.7% to 66.532 billion kWh.

The above growth figures include Surgutskaya GRES-2 increasing generation by 2.9% and Yayvinskaya GRES by 30.7%. This was mainly due to the commissioning of new generation capacity under the company's investment program in the 2nd half of 2011. Thanks to the new power units in operation, Surgutskaya GRES-2 and Yayvinskaya GRES were able to set new records of annual electricity generation.

Generation at Smolenskaya GRES, Shaturskaya GRES, and Berezovskaya GRES was associated with regime-balance situations in respective regions and, accordingly, capacity utilization by regional dispatch offices of the "System Operator".
