Nissan Securities Co., Ltd. entered into an agreement to acquire part of commodity futures trading business of Daiichi Commodities Co.,Ltd. (JASDAQ:8746) for ¥900 million on May 28, 2020. Under the terms of the transaction, part of commodity futures trading business (trade products in the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) precious metal market, rubber market, agricultural products market) Note) Commodity futures trading business (Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) energy market and Osaka Dojima Commodity Exchange (ODE) all markets) other than the business to be transferred and the bullion sales business will continue to be operated by Daiichi Commodities Co.,Ltd. Part of commodity futures trading business reported total assets of ¥13.5 billion as of the end of December 2019. Approximately 50 employees remaining in the company will continue the operations. The transaction must be approved at the ordinary general meeting of shareholders of Daiichi Commodities Co.,Ltd. The transaction is resolved by the Board of Daiichi Commodities Co.,Ltd. The transaction is expected to close on July 20, 2020.
