As part of implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency increasing programme of Chernomortransneft, energy resources saving in monetary terms in 2016 was equal to RUB 18 million.

Significant measures, increasing energy efficiency of the major equipment, include overhaul of electric drives of main pump units at Tarasovskaya oil pump station (СТД-5000) and Khadyzhenskaya oil pump station (4АЗМВ-1600). These measures allowed reducing electric power losses upon use of the equipment and bringing the electric drives' efficiency into compliance with standard values. As well, replacement of an electric drive by a new one with higher efficiency was performed in September 2016 at Pshekhskaya line operation dispatcher station (LODS).

Besides, significant modernization of the heat supply system was performed at Khadyzhenskaya OPS: a new block boiler house of УВТ-2 type was installed, the heating line was repaired - the pipes were replaced using modern polyurethane thermal insulation. Due to using the mode of heat energy efficient use at the facility in winter, Chernomortransneft saved fuel in the amount of 4.8 tons within the period from October to December 2016.

As part of implementation of the energy saving programme, methodical work on equipping the facilities of Chernomortransneft with energy efficient illuminating devices using LED technologies is continued.

Efficiency of using heat energy resources of Chernomortransneft is achieved by means of such measures as increasing efficiency of boiler equipment, overhaul of heating networks with replacing heat insulation by more effective one (using modern materials). Besides, the enterprise uses radiator thermostatic regulators; automated temperature regime control systems are installed at the facilities.
