Torque Metals Limited announced a new discovery at its Paris Gold Project. Drilling at the new Caruso Prospect returned a number of highly significant shallow gold results. The Paris Project is located within the prolific Boulder-Lefroy fault corridor and is approximately 120km from the town of Kalgoorlie.

The Caruso discovery, within the Paris Project, is situated only 200m to the north-east of the historic HHH open pit mine, where the Company has already returned encouraging results. Drilling at Caruso consisted of nine RC holes for 798 metres drilled. Further exploration work is now being planned to assist interpretation of the size and potential of the mineralised area.

Given the similarities to the HHH mineralisation, Torque believes there is real potential for the two zones to be connected. A total of 8 holes for 816m were drilled at the Strauss prospect with a best result of: 9m @ 1.04g/t Au from 84m downhole in 21SRC026. Whilst the Strauss mineralisation is consistent, within a well-defined geological structure, the general low grade mineralisation means it is likely to receive less exploration attention in the near future, given the discovery of a number of higher grade targets.

4 holes for 384m were drilled at the Paris mine prospect in an attempt to achieve an early understanding of the nature and geometry of the recent bonanza grades intersected in hole 21PRC025 (6m @ 34.6 g/t Au within 24m @ 10.7 g/t Au). These relatively shallow holes did not encounter any significant gold mineralisation. Further drilling at this prospect is planned to be undertaken by the deeper capacity rig to be used in the upcoming programme.

Torque anticipates its next RC drilling campaign will commence within a few weeks. The RC rig used for Phase 1 had ~100m depth capacity. A second RC rig, with a larger capacity to test targets up to 250 metres will be used for this soon to commence drilling phase.

Targets to be tested include depth extensions of gold mineralisation at the Observation prospect, the Paris Pit and now also the Caruso prospect. Torque envisages a total of approximately 5,000 metres of RC drilling in this upcoming programme. Return of all results from the large surface geochemical programme south of the Paris mine is imminent.

These results will be analysed with a view to determining new gold exploration targets. Once outlined, any new targets will be quickly drill tested in order to maintain a strong pipeline of gold prospects. The Paris tailings treatment programme is continuing.

Trial column leaching has been proposed and is currently being costed. An extension of the option agreement to the end of March was sought and agreed to by the tailings owner. Torque's Paris Project lies within the area known as the Boulder-Lefroy Fault Zone.

This prolific gold-bearing structure is host to numerous mines that have produced many millions of ounces of gold. Not least of these mines is the world famous "Super Pit" in Kalgoorlie. Torque's Paris Project area remains vastly underexplored, with past drilling generally restricted to the top 50 metres, highlighting significant opportunities for discovery of gold mineralisation by the application of modern-day exploration techniques and the undertaking of more extensive, and deeper, drilling.
