Taganrog Boiler Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik : Representatives of PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” took part in a comprehensive test of the boiler plant for the Karmanovskaya GRES

Power unit No.3 of the most powerful condensing thermal power plant of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Karmanovskaya GRES, performed the comprehensive test of the key equipment including the steam boiler, unit No. 3, heating surfaces for which were supplied by The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshcik" (TKZ).

Power unit No.3 for the Karmanovskaya GRES was put into operation in 1970. In August, 2019, by the RF Government order, the power unit was included in the generating facilities updating program (KOMMod) with time of delivering the capacity to the market being in January, 2023. Currently, in-depth updating of the power unit in composition with the boiler, unit No.3, in which the Russian major companies, including PJSC "Krasny Kotelshchik", take part, is coming to an end.

For this boiler plant, in 2020-2021, the Taganrog boiler-making works, supplied the key assemblies: the convention superheater, the platen superheaters of the 1st and 2nd stages, the reheaters of the 1st and 2nd stages, the furnace water walls. The new equipment, which was created with the use of state-of-the-art technologies, will ensure the increase in steam capacity of the boiler, unit No.3, from 950 to 990 t/h and will allow the power unit to reach the output stated in KOMMod.

After replacing the heating surfaces, the boiler plant passed the hydraulic tests at a high pressure successfully, the comprehensive test and the guarantee tests, during which all the specifications of the equipment, which had been stated by PJSC "Krasny Kotelshchik", were achieved, including the fact that the guaranteed boiler steam capacity was confirmed.
