Taganrog Boiler Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik : PJSC “Krasny Kotelshchik” Implements New Technologies in Production

The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik" purchased a laser cleaning plant for tube sheets and tube partitions being parts of condensers and heaters intended for nuclear power plants.

Cleaning of parts after drilling and inter-operational storage is a mandatory condition of work under projects. Earlier, pneumatic tools and special solvents were used to remove possible contaminations including instances of corrosion and preservation lubricants. It took long, and required regular purchase of relevant consumables.

Use of laser cleaning at manufacture of NPP equipment makes it possible to cut additional costs and, further to that, significantly reduces labor intensity of performed operations. On account of a high performance capacity of the new plant (up to 30 m²/h) an operator can in short time clean large parts acting only on a contamination itself and leaving the base material intact.

Among other advantages is the high quality of preparation of items for subsequent painting and the maximum portability of the new plant. On account of the latter the laser cleaning can be easily used in production areas of any workshops of PJSC "Krasny Kotelshchik".
