The Laureate Institute for Brain Research (LIBR) will be integrating SyMRI at their institute to support their research on the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders.

'We are excited to expand our brain research in mood and anxiety disorders by including whole brain voxel-wise quantitative MRI measures, such as MRI relaxation times, proton density, and myelin concentration,' says Jerzy Bodurka, Ph.D. Chief Technology Officer at LIBR. 'These measures are now possible to obtain in a rapid single MRI scan and the accompanying software has the ability to extract high quality quantitative maps. We will broadly employ the measures in our massive human clinical neuroscience neuroimaging operation to enrich our efforts to characterize and understand the brain's structural and functional organization in health and disease.'

The Laureate Institute for Brain Research was founded in 2009 and is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. LIBR consists of a multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinical research staff who apply neuroimaging, genetic, pharmacological and neuropsychological tools to investigate the causes and cures for disorders of mood, anxiety, eating and memory.

'We are proud to be partnering with LIBR and excited to see the value that SyMRI will bring to their crucial work' says Kyle Frye, President, SyntheticMR Inc. 'Our software will support LIBR's neuropsychiatric research by providing the team with quantitative data as well as our myelin segmentation and volumetrics'.
