Strathmore Updates Status of Gas Hills and Church Rock Technical Reports
STRATHMORE MINERALS CORP. ("Strathmore" or the "Company") announces that it has engaged Chlumsky, Armbrust & Meyer LLC ("CAM"), an international mineral resources and engineering consulting firm based in Lakewood, Colorado, to prepare a new independent NI 43-101 technical report for the Company's Gas Hills Properties. A new technical report has been commissioned as a result of deficiencies identified by the British Columbia Securities Commission ("BCSC") in its "limited technical disclosure" review of the Company's Gas Hills technical report. Based on CAM's current review of all existing available data, it is expected that a new technical report for the Gas Hills Properties will be completed by late April.

The Company further reports that it is continuing to work with the author of the "Scoping Study of the Strathmore Resources (US) Ltd. Church Rock Deposit McKinley County, New Mexico USA," to ensure that this technical report is NI 43-101 compliant. The Company anticipates that revisions to the Church Rock technical report will be completed within the next 45 days.

As noted in the Company's August 19, 2011 and December 6, 2011 press releases, investors should not rely on the previously filed technical reports for Gas Hills or Church Rock and should not rely on the mineral resources for Gas Hills disclosed in the Company's press releases dated July 21, 2011 or August 5, 2011 nor the Church Rock preliminary economic assessment disclosed in the Company's news release dated April 5, 2011.

The technical information in this news release has been reviewed by David Miller, Chief Executive Officer for Strathmore Minerals Corp., a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
