Schroders Capital Global Innovation Trust plc announced the appointment of Dr Lamia Baker as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect from 22 June 2023. She will also become amember of the Audit, Risk and Valuation, Management Engagement and Nomination and Remuneration Committees on the same date. Dr Baker is currently managing director UK of Dennemeyer & Co Limited, a position she has held since 2019, as well as Head of Commercial EMEA for Dennemeyer Group a position held since 2022, a global intellectual property service provider ('Dennemeyer').Before joining Dennemeyer, Dr Lamia Baker was Head of Engineering Licensing at Imperial Innovations Ltd, focusing on commercializing Intellectual Property through licensing activities and startup formation.

This position was preceded by employment as a venture capital seed investor in high-technology startups in the UK and by various positions in several technology startups in Boston, USA. Dr Lamia Baker has over 20 years of experience in business and technology. She is skilled in IP, innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, venture capital investment and fund representation on companies' boards.

As detailed in the Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022, Raymond Abbott, who has been a Director since 1 October 2019 will retire at the conclusion of the forthcoming AGM to be held on 21 June 2023.
