NextPharma Technologies Holding Limited agreed to acquire Tampere manufacturing facility and related operations from Santen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (TSE:4536) on January 25, 2019. NextPharma will take over the site with 181 employees involved in manufacturing and its support functions. A large number of Santen employees in Finland not necessarily linked to Manufacturing or its function will not be affected by the acquisition and those roles will continue being part of Santen. The transaction is expected to complete in summer 2019. Seppo Havia, Maiju Wickström, Eila Ryyppö and Janne Parikka of Dittmar & Indrenius Attorneys Ltd. acted as legal advisor to Santen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
