Salon Media Group Inc. announced earnings results for the twelve months ended March 31, 2016. Net revenue from continuing operations for the period was $7.0 million, an increase of 41% from $4.9 million for the twelve months ended March 31, 2015. The increase in revenues during fiscal year 2016 stemmed primarily from an industry shift in advertising dollars toward premium CPM video-based advertisements and programmatic advertising, which together resulted in a 59% increase in programmatic advertising sales compared to fiscal year 2015. The Company’s loss from operations for the fiscal year was $2.0 million, compared to a loss from operations of $3.9 million for fiscal year 2015. Net loss was $1.960 million or $0.03 per basic and diluted share against $3.940 million or $0.05 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
