By BU Food Service will not continue as a separate BU in Rieber & Søn. From February 1st, the organisation will be integrated into the country based BUs.
"The food service market is important for Rieber & Søn and will continue to be so," said CEO Patrik Andersson. "The plan for growth in the FS market is still valid and will be one of our main focus areas in the years to come."
The aim is to create a stronger and better coordinated organisation, especially within areas such as product development, customer negotiations and planning/logistics.
"Operating both retail and FS in one integrated organisation will also give other synergies," said Patrik Andersson.
BU Director Food Service Jørgen Wiig, will leave Rieber & Søn on March 1 to take on the position of Vice President of Friele, a well known coffee business. Wiig has been involved in the discussions about the future for FS and supports the decision.
"I've had an open discussion with Jørgen Wiig about the best way of organising FS for the purpose of ensuring growth in an efficient way and we both reached the conclusion that integration would be the best," said Andersson.
The BU Directors for the relevant Bus will take over the responsibility for the Food Service organisation in the respective countries from February 1st 2012.
