SGX-Listed ISR Capital Appoints Singaporean Financial Market Veteran Mr Lee Ka Shao As Non-Executive Independent Director

SINGAPORE, 3 January 2017 - SGX Mainboard-listed ISR Capital Limited ("ISR Capital" or the "Company") announced today that Mr Lee Ka Shao has accepted the invitation of Mr Chen Tong, ISR Capital's Executive Director and Chairman, to join its Board of Directors ("the Board") as non-executive independent director.

Mr Lee, a Singaporean, is a veteran investment banker, trader and fund manager. He was the co-founder and chief investment officer of Cavenagh Capital, with offices in Singapore and Amsterdam; and was the managing director of Central Treasury in DBS Bank before becoming a founding member of Abax Global Capital in Hong Kong. He has also held front office positions in J.P. Morgan, with his last role managing a structuring group in Asia-Pacific.

"My appointment, first and foremost, is to safeguard and protect the interest of the public minority shareholders of ISR Capital Limited whom may have been caught in a bind, especially with its recent stock trading suspension. As an independent director, I will endeavour to work with all stakeholders, be it the stock exchange, the relevant authorities and executives and major and minority shareholders of the Company to achieve a desirable outcome as to the continuity and future of ISR Capital Limited's operations and plans," said Mr. Lee.

On 3 January 2017, the Company announced the resignation of Ms Quah Su-Yin as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director with effect from 31 December 2016.

Mr Chen Tong commented, "I welcome Mr Lee Ka Shao to ISR Capital and believe his wealth of experience will help to strengthen the development of the Company's corporate governance. The Board also wishes to thank Ms Quah Su-Yin for her invaluable contributions during her term with the Company."
