Australian clean energy company Pure Hydrogen Corporation Limited (ASX: PH2 or 'Pure Hydrogen') is pleased to announce that its majority-owned subsidiary, HDrive International, has confirmed the sale of a new 'Taurus' Hydrogen Fuel Cell Prime Mover to Barwon Water, Victoria's largest regional urban water corporation.

The state-of-the-art vehicle will play a crucial role in Barwon Water's efforts to reduce emissions by transporting organic waste for recycling at one of its water reclamation plants. HDrive's latest sale agreement reflects the ongoing demand for sustainable transportation solutions from heavy-vehicle industries globally, which is underpinning the growing adoption of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCVs)

Barwon Water is a key infrastructure provider in Victoria, that is responsible for water services across the southwest region of Victoria, including areas like Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast and Colac. The sale of the Taurus Prime Mover reflects Barwon Water's strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental stewardship. By integrating this advanced hydrogen fuel cell technology into their operations, Barwon Water will also set a powerful example for other organisations looking to transition towards greener solutions. Pure Hydrogen expects to make a gross revenue over the life of the truck of approximately $1,400,000. This sale reflects a wider trend noted by HDrive, which is experiencing increased demand for Hydrogen Fuel Cell and Battery Electric Vehicles in both Australia and the USA. A variety of vehicles from HDrive's extensive range are currently active, aiding a broad spectrum of clients committed to sustainable operations.

Today's announcement follows a signed Term Sheet between Pure Hydrogen and the City of Newcastle to supply a rear-loading hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) waste collection vehicle, assembled by HDrive International (refer ASX Announcement 27 June 2024). The Term Sheet sets out the framework for the City of Newcastle to lease the vehicle and conduct a 12-month trial with the option of a four-year extension

Across Pure Hydrogen's growing sales pipeline, it has secured existing agreements for the supply of HFC waste collection vehicles in partnership with two leading Australian waste management companies, JJ's Waste & Recycling and Solo Resource Recovery. In addition to the City of Newcastle, the group has scheduled deployments to customers on the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Adelaide and the Mornington Peninsula. HDrive, continues to lead the way in hydrogen-powered transportation. Pure Hydrogen is the major shareholder in HDrive and a key fuel supplier, supporting numerous hydrogen deployments that are set to play a central role in the decarbonisation of Australia's commercial transport sector in the near future

Barwon Water Managing Director Shaun Cumming said: 'This agreement reflects our commitment to incorporate innovative clean energy solutions as part of delivering our services to our customers. With the support of Australian Renewable Energy Agency funding, we're excited to add hydrogen power as part of achieving our goal to have net-zero emissions by 2030. We are looking forward to working with the team at HDrive.'

Pure Hydrogen's Managing, Mr Scott Brown added: 'The sale agreement for the Taurus with an infrastructure group of Barwon Water's calibre is a testament to the ongoing interest and demand for our leading fleet of hydrogen and electric vehicles. With continued traction in domestic and international markets, highlighted by consistent growth in its sales pipeline, HDrive continues to spearhead the growth of the emerging hydrogen economy by establishing product-market fit with best-in-class vehicle solutions.
