Bank OCBC NISP Tbk PT : Opens A Branch Office in Kupang

Kupang, 23 January 2017 - As a form of commitment to extend financial inclusion in Eastern Indonesia, at the beginning of 2017, Bank OCBC NISP opened a branch office in Kupang - Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). This branch office is also the first office of Bank OCBC NISP in NTT province, while at the same time the first in Eastern Indonesia. Development of Kupang city, particularly in infrastructure and economic sectors, is on the rise following the appointment of Kupang as one of the National Activity Center cities in Indonesian Government's National Spatial Plan.

The series of event started on 20 January 2017 with financial literacy education in the form of Smart Future board game with the journalists. The branch office was inaugurated on Saturday 21 January 2017, by Deputy Governor of NTT - Drs. Benny Alexander Litelnoni, S. H., M. Si., the Head of Financial Services Authority NTT Office - Winter Marbun, the Head of Bank Indonesia NTT Representative Office - Naek Tigor Sinaga and was attended by the National Network Head of Bank OCBC NISP - Heriwan Gazali along with all invitees and customers. It was then followed by a bazaar and free medical checkup.

The festivity continued in the afternoon with a five (5) kilometer City Run, which was open to public and supported by Kupang Hash House Harriers community. The City Run did not only encourage the people to exercise together but also participate in Bank OCBC NISP's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in renovating a public facility in the form of sports field in Kupang city.

In this occasion, Heriwan explained, "Kupang has a big business potential, particularly in infrastructure, construction and trading sectors. Bank OCBC NISP is ready to participate in growing and developing Nusa Tenggara Timur, especially Kupang city. Located in a strategic position in the area of Jendral Sudirman - Kuanino Kupang, this 3-storey office is equipped with Safe Deposit Box service. The existence of this first branch office in Nusa Tenggara Timur is expected to expand market share and grow Third Party Funds as well as loan extension to customers. As of September 2016, Bank OCBC NISP recorded third party funds growth of 5% (YoY) to Rp95.4 trillion. Furthermore, loans grew by 7% (YoY) to Rp88.1 trillion along with well-maintained optimum asset quality.
