Pontex Polyblend Co.,Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 240.082 million compared to TWD 147.663 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 25.249 million compared to TWD 26.296 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 263.339 million compared to net loss of TWD 26.958 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were TWD 3.12 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.32 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 614.014 million compared to TWD 457.803 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 80.090 million compared to TWD 61.613 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 210.019 million compared to net loss of TWD 72.141 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share were TWD 2.49 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.86 a year ago.
PONTEX POLYBLEND CO., LTD. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of spare parts and engineering plastics. The Company mainly operates through two business segments. The Equipment Components segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of plastic injection molding products, including the soles, sports equipment and related spare parts. The Composite Materials segment is mainly engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of engineering plastic materials, including the glass and fireproof composite materials, as well as nylon 6 and nylon 66 cold resistant materials. The Company mainly operates its businesses in Taiwan and the rest of Asia.
