Pluralsight : Third-Annual Pluralsight One Impact Book Captures A Year of Social Impact and Progress

SILICON SLOPES, Utah - Pluralsight, Inc. (NASDAQ: PS), the enterprise technology skills platform, today released the annual Pluralsight One Impact Book. The third-annual edition captures the company's major impact milestones in 2020 through its social enterprise, Pluralsight One. Highlights include over $1 million in COVID-19 emergency response grants to its strategic nonprofit partners and to regional response efforts as well as expanding support and access to free technology skills development resources for teachers and students globally.

Believing technology has the power to create freedom, equality and opportunity around the globe, Pluralsight co-founder and CEO Aaron Skonnard launched Pluralsight One in 2017 as a social enterprise to embed social impact into the fabric of the company and to lead the company's global social impact strategy in support of the company's mission to democratize technology skills. The social enterprise helps realize this mission by improving equal access to technology skills and investing in catalytic solutions. Pluralsight One leads all global social investments and volunteer strategies, advances advocacy efforts around Computer Science education, as well as the strategy, development and ongoing management of the Pluralsight One product suite.

Key Milestones in 2020

• Pluralsight One invests more than $1 million in immediate cash grants to support nonprofit partners during the COVID-19 crisis. Pluralsight believes that technology, human capital and funding can result in permanent and fundamental change. The pandemic disrupted every industry, including education, health and economic systems. As such, Pluralsight One provided immediate cash grants to its strategic nonprofit partners, including $250,000 to the Norwegian Refugee Council to enable the development of digital and tech-enabled field-based solutions; $200,000 to Malala Fund to support tech-enabled solutions so all girls can access free, safe, and quality education; $250,000 to the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) to support teachers with digital teaching and learning resources to preserve science education in K-12 schools nationwide; $250,000 to Year Up to ensure program continuity for current students as well as support youths' urgent health and financial needs.

• Pluralsight One supports its communities during the COVID-19 crisis. For many across the world, COVID-19 fundamentally altered their lives. Pluralsight One saw an immediate need for relief in the communities where its team members live and work and contributed $50,000 in matching grants to four COVID-19 emergency funds: the Utah COVID-19 Community Response Fund, the Boston COVID-19 Response Fund, the Community Foundation for Ireland COVID-19 Fund, and the United Nations and World Health Organization COVID-19 Emergency Fund to deliver aid and build resilience in communities where the company's remote team members live.

• Pluralsight One issues its social justice response and provides more than $200,00 in funding. Pluralsight holds an unbending commitment to equality. To demonstrate this commitment, Pluralsight One mobilized a $200,000 matching grant to galvanize additional support and momentum for the social justice movement. The funds were distributed to Year Up, Southern Poverty Law Center, Equal Justice Initiative, and Color of Change for their work to combat systemic intolerance and racial oppression.

• Pluralsight One expands its free offerings to support teachers and students as they adapt to fully a digital education. To make progress against its mission to democratize technology skills, Pluralsight One invests heavily in education. The social enterprise works to improve access to computer science education and strengthen learning outcomes, build products that support teachers and learners, and invest in partnerships and solutions that are built to endure and fundamentally improve systems at massive scale. In addition to its $250,000 grant relief to CSTA, Pluralsight One deepened its multi-year partnership with Code.org through additional product work and a product grant to support the Code.org staff's technology skills development. Additionally, Pluralsight One created an education guide for high school-aged learners, their teachers, and their parents to help adapt to online learning in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Advancing access to high-quality computer science education for K-12 students in Utah. Pluralsight is committed to expanding opportunities for K-12 students to learn computer science. In its home state of Utah in 2020, Pluralsight One partnered with the Utah State Board of Education (USBE). The multi-year product grant is designed to support USBE K-12 educators and staff's technology skills development in Utah's 42 school districts plus all charter schools. Pluralsight One has issued a five-year, $38.95 million product grant supplemented by technology strategy development, content curation, and access to 10,000 Pluralsight Skills licenses. This partnership ensures educators have dynamic resources to adapt to increasingly digital teaching methods, meet the evolving needs of Utah's students and embed computer science education into statewide curriculum.
