Calcia-improved soil is a mixture of soft dredged soil and calcia-improved material (converter-type steelmaking slag whose composition is controlled and grain size is adjusted). It is used as a base material for timber and shallow areas and tidal flats. In addition, the dredged soil produced by the cycle of 'dredging-thawing/mixing-throwing-in' (Fig. 2) and loaded on a soil carrier is 'thawed' work to loosen the dredged soil, and calcia-improved soil is added to ' About half of the time required for manufacturing is 'mixing', and after that, it gradually hardens, so it is necessary to complete the input as soon as possible.
In the past, it was common to moor up a soil carrier and use two backhoes to carry out the 'dissolution and mixing' work from land. According to 10 cases of measurement of mixing time when one calcia bucket and one standard bucket were used together, the mixing capacity was improved compared to the case where two standard buckets were used, and the time required for mixing was We confirmed that the time can be reduced by about two-thirds (Fig. 3).
If only the conventional standard bucket was used for 'dissolution and mixing', the upper limit was two cycles per day, but by using the calcia bucket together, three cycles per day are possible, and the dredging work is waiting. It can also be expected to save time and significantly improve productivity (Fig. 4).
We currently have buckets of 0.8m3 type, 1.9m3 type and 3.1m3 type, which can be used according to the size of the soil transport boat used and the scale of construction work. We will actively use calcia buckets for the efficient development of social infrastructure using calcia modified soil.
