Nicox announced on Tuesday the appointment of Damian Marron, a British biotech executive, as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The French ophthalmology group states that Damian Marron succeeds
Jean-François Labbé, who has decided to retire at the end of his term.

In a press release, Nicox points out that Damian Marron has extensive industry experience, with a specialization in immuno-oncology, cell therapy and orphan diseases.

He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Circio Hodling, Imophoron and Indegra Therapeutics.

The Group also informs that Marc Le Bozec, former CFO of Cellectis, has also joined its Board of Directors, also as an independent director.

The Board now comprises Damian Marron as Chairman, Gavin Spencer as CEO, Michele Garufi and Marc Le Bozec.
