Megafon significantly expanded its infrastructure in the Ryazan region in 2014. New equipment increased the network capacity and services quality. The number of GSM base stations rose by 8% in 2014, and the amount of 3G base stations increased by 17% in the region.
New base stations were built in Ryazan, Sasovo, Pronsk, Alekanovo, Yelatma, Spas-Klepiki and Kasimov. Equipment also was upgraded on existing base stations. Megafon plans to continue the network expansion and upgrade in the region.
